In Context

I'm Zaid Baghal, a software engineer, creative thinker, and lifelong student of what's possible.

I'm based in New York City, where I spend my time building thoughtful tools, exploring complex systems, and experimenting at the intersection of engineering and design. Previously, I held roles at Bank of America, IBM, and most recently Bloomberg LP, each shaping how I think about scale, simplicity, and human-centered technology.

I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, expanding on the foundations I built during my undergraduate studies at Rutgers. Learning, for me, is continuous across languages, patterns, and the evolving philosophies behind how we build.

Outside of code, I'm drawn to storytelling through film, writing, music, and photography. I believe the best ideas come from unexpected intersections and a willingness to follow curiosity.

This space is where I document what I'm building, thinking, and learning. Every project tells a story, and this is mine.
